Gregory S. Pavlak, Ph.D.
Dr. Gregory Pavlak has spent the past 7 years investigating smart building topics from both academic and industry perspectives. He earned his Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2014, where his research focused on integrating portfolios of commercial buildings with electric grid operations and markets. Specific areas of expertise include: building energy modeling and simulation, statistical data analysis, advanced HVAC controls, optimization and decision analysis, and electric grid markets.
Greg is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers, a member of the International Building Performance Simulation Association, and also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Engineering at Hope College.
